Ken Appelhans serves as APCO’s President and Construction Manager. Ken is a State of Colorado Licensed Master Electrician with over 30 years experience. Ken has served in essentially every position from Project Manager, Field Engineer, Estimator, to Project Superintendent for several large and respected Denver-area electrical contracting firms, including: Sturgeon Electric, Sasco Electric, Ludvik Electric, Dynalectric Corp., MMR West/Simmons Electric, O’Rourke Electric and Howe Electric. Ken’s experience is varied, including “fast track” design/build projects, commercial, industrial control and power, as well as single and multi-family residential facilities. and management, design/build, developing bids and estimates and contractor coordination. Ken’s professional training includes Electrical Apprenticeship, NECA workshops, Estimatic Corporation and NJACT Fire Alarm Certification.

Tim Appelhans serves as APCO’s Vice President and Field Leader. Tim is a State of Colorado Licensed Journeyman Electrician with General Foreman experience for numerous Denver-area contractors: Sturgeon Electric, Sasco Electric, Osage Electric, Wells Fargo Alarm and Denver Burglar Alarm. Tim’s professional training includes: National Joint Electrical Apprenticeship, A.M.P. Connector Certification, Journeyman Upgrade Classes and NJACT Fire Alarm Certification.

Terry O'Rourke serves as project manager, designer and estimator. Terry has over 40 years of experience in the electrical industry and has operated his own business for over 35 years. Terry’s vast experience with design build projects, HVAC retrofits, variable frequency drive installations, and programmable controllers brings greater value for our customers. Included with the above, Terry has complimented our team with his industry knowledge and great people skills.
